Venezuelan children measure up in Prague

We are full of pride, because we just got word that the jury of the "38th International Children's Art Exhibition of Lidice" held in Prague to receive and evaluate the work of over 25 thousand children participants worldwide decided to award some work with medals and commendations.

Venezuela took home three awards!

The work of the children participating in this series of workshops will be presented at the Lidice Memorial Prague from 26 May.

When they arrived in Prague on 42 participating projects, the curator and responsible for Galei we wrote especially to congratulate the Venezuelan children for their participation. Thanks to all the children who participated and did an excellent job, which we are proud. Thanks for giving us so well represented in Prague.

A small Reverón




Today, May 10, marks the birthday of one of the most important Venezuelan artists inside and outside the country: Armando Reveron.

Reverón was born May 10, 1889 and died September 18, 1984. His career earned him unimportant reconocimientoen Venezuela and abroad, making it the first Venezuelan artist to be exhibited at the MOMA in New York.
